Through the Wilderness

Skirt – vintage c/o Silent Sundays
Bag, blouse and shoes – vintage/thrifted

A lot of you have probably seen these already either on Rhiannon’s blog or the Silent Sundays blog, but I really like them so I wanted to post them here too. There are a couple of others over on the Silent Sundays blog though if you’d like to see more.

As I’m sure you all know by now, Rhiannon and her friend Jamie have just started up a great new shop, stocking both vintage and pieces by independent designers such as TBA and Secret Squirrel. Well, Rhiannon was really sweet and asked me if I’d like to take part in their blogger feature series and then, after I went on about how much I’d absolutely love to, sent me this amazing suede skirt to style. I would tell you more about the outfit I put together but I don’t think I can describe it any more perfectly than Rhiannon who said it was ‘something worthy of a Victorian-by-way-of-1960s heroine’. So good!

The majority of these photos were taken by my boyfriend (who was following behind me hence why the back of my head is the star of the show). I have to admit, I was a little hesitant handing the camera over to him, but the boy did good! This is great for me because I get nice photos, but bad for him because now I’m going to be pestering him about it all the time.

  1. This looks like it was out of a fairy tale story book! I love it! Also the collection of clothing sounds just right out of my alley. Going go to check it out now! :)

  2. Brilliant post! The outfit, photos – everything about it is perfect. I’m kind of kicking myself because I just culled my wardrobe and actually gave up a skirt that’s similar to the one you’re wearing. Sigh.

  3. I definitely agree with Rhiannon’s description! This skirt is so fabulous, it seems like it would fit right into your wardrobe. Also enjoying all the nature in these shots, everything is so wonderfully green.

  4. Lovely photos, and the skirt is beautiful!!
I’m so excited about the store Rhiannon has put together … though I’m sure my bank account is worried! ;)

  5. Hi Hannah,
These shots are breathtaking, when I need stylist I know which door to knock upon! It’s such a same that you can’t make it, it would have been lovely to have a chat. We must meet up for a tea and blog chats, I vote The Botanics! Thank you for your comments on my dresses, I might have a little favour to ask of you in regards to that (don’t worry, its a nice one) so I’ll be in touch soon.

    Cait x

  6. OMG these are amazing pictures! The depth of those woods, the colors and the soft light..scares me a bit, but I love it! The skirt is great, and I also love your hat :D

  7. Lovely outfit, and great photos! Poor guy – now he’ll never get a break, since, with a photographer that good, how can you not take advantage??

  8. What a fantastic outfit. And you got such nice photos of it, too! I especially like that hat. I wish I was more of a hat person – styling like this makes me want to pull it off. :)
