I’ve been meaning to share this little guy with you all for a while now. I picked him up at the car boot over the Christmas holidays. He didn’t come cheap (and he doesn’t even work!), so don’t be fooled by the fact that I got it at a car boot. Still, I think it would have been a lot more expensive elsewhere and old insect jewellery as lovely as this is hard to come by. I think I feel a collection coming on.
This is really lovely x
this is really cute! and love how it's called Doris! what a find! :)
I think it's probably worth it how ever much you paid! It's SO nice x
That is adorable!! I love the name too!

That's beautiful, I love finding personalised things it makes me wonder who their previous owners were and what their lives were like xoxo

How sweet it is! Makes a lovely brooch even if it doesn't work. My friend is buying a kate sheridan insect print purse online as we speak, people seem to love bugs these days :)
very very cool!
pity it doesn't work though.
xx
adorable! i've never seen anything like that before; animal shaped pins, sure, but never with a clock inside. perhaps you can get it fixed?
speechless!!!
very very cute!!!! I have never had a watch in a broche nice idea!!
Love, absolutely love this brooch! And you're quite right, pretty insect jewelry pieces are hard to come by these days, but when you do find something sometimes getting extra from your wallet is worth it!
Cutie! I wonder who Doris was. I love little treasures with a history.

Oh my goodness, he is gorgeous. I'm sure a professional could get him working and then a few years down the line he'll be worth a lot more than what you paid.
Although many people sell lots of bric-à-brac at flea markets and car boot sales there are quite a few real treasures to be found. Thus, I find it comprehensible that the owner asked a higher price for it. It really is a beauty! :)
Absolutely LOVELOVELOVE this find. Doris is my Grandmothers name, this is just splendid. FIFI x

Doris!? That's brilliant. Congratulations on a great find.
If you do get the watch fixed, make sure it's not set to the correct time. I've a feeling Doris marched to her own beat. Wonderful find!
