Brown Suede Shoes

So I was going to wait until tomorrow to post about these, but I can’t because I’m impatient and rubbish at holding back things I want to share. Say hello to my new favourite shoes, a pair of suede 70s/90s platforms.

When I saw these puppies on eBay I fell in love instantly but didn’t count much on my chances of winning them. When there were five minutes left I sat and watched the auction, fingers poised, hoping that maybe my measly bid might be enough. I was expecting an all out bidding war but then, with seconds to go, nobody outbid me. Not one person. The auction ended and I won with a bid of £10.49. Ten pounds fourty-nine!

I can’t for the life of me understand how I managed to get them so cheap. Maybe I’ve gone crazy and they’re actually really hideous, but you know what? I don’t even mind because they give me five extra inches of height. And a rather comfortable five inches at that.

  1. was fully expecting to read jeffrey campbell at the bottom of these pictures, the fact they are unique and cost my train fare to uni is even more enviable – great find! x

  5. Amazing find, they look in such good condition too. Had clicked on over in the hope that they would be a high street find but alas I shall have to look on in envy! x

  6. Oh wow, what a bargain! They look incredible. And I love how you’ve photographed them – did you have to put them on after you’d climbed on the rock or are they actually deceptively good shoes for climbing in? :). x

    1. It’s actually a fallen tree! I put them on before and then climbed up very carefully, ha. I did make the mistake of jumping down at one point and nearly twisted my ankle!

  7. Oh wow they’re beautiful! I love buying vintage shoes on eBay, they’re always so cheap xxxx

  8. They’re super amazing!! I always think about bidding in auctions because many of them end in amazing prices but most of the time I don’t..! Have fun with them!

  9. I can reassure you. The shoes aren’t at all hideous, they’re beautiful. They look as if they’re new and the colours go with almost everything. You made a fine purchase.
