Flowers in Winter

A couple of things that I thrifted this morning: another floral headband, and a creepy-in-a-good-way hand vase that doubles up nicely as a ring holder. I’m so pleased with the headband, it’s a little more subtle than my other oneand it has little anemones on it (one of my favourite flowers). Even better yet, it was only £1.50. A morning well spent, I say.

  1. Such amazing finds! Perhaps I am coming to Edinburgh this year, you have to tell me your favourite spots to go thrifting, I want to go there, too.

  2. What a lucky girl!
The headband is so lovely and the hand is great: in spring you can fill it with some pansies or other little flowers.
    Ciao

  3. Aw, great finds! I need to go thrifting again and find some things for my house. That hand is awesome! My mom used to have something like this but it was only a ring holder, not a vase :)

    1. Hi Diana, the ring belongs to my Mum. I think she’s had it for a very long time and those used to be her initials (she’s since changed her name). Most of my own jewellery is in Edinburgh so I raided my Mum’s jewellery box instead. It’s such a pretty little thing, I’d like one of my own!

  4. oh, what a darling headband and you look so lovely!!! I’ve always wanted to make one of those, since I can never find any floral headbands that are still intact while thrifting!

  5. gorgeous finds! you have me wanting a floral headband now! it reminds me of those souvenir floral renaissance headbands I bought in my elementary school days at a field trip. and that vase is great. the hand jewelry holder has been on my wishlist for awhile and I can’t seem to find the perfect one.
