Butterfly and Insect World

Photos from Edinburgh’s Butterfly and Insect World. The little glasswinged butterflies (picture seven) were my favourite, so delicate and fragile looking.

  1. OMG, the photo of the ants! I used to love watching them carry stuff back in a line when I was a kid. Seeing these makes me wish it were spring and that I could be a child all over again.

  2. You take the most beautiful photos ever. Even something so simple as butterflies become lovely when you take them. The things I would give t have talent like yours. Buttferly world seems like a wonderful place. I wish I could visit there someday

  4. okay, those photos are absolutely magical! you really transport your readers into whatever world you photograph! i can never get mine to look that bright, unless the flash is on, and we all know that flash is just dreadful in the finished product.

    oh my, the butterflies eat from fruit? here, in indonesia, we have lots of flowers. so the butterflies could eat from the flower nectar :)

  7. Awww these are fantastic! you actually managed to get photos of them, any of mine from butterfly houses are always sadly blurred. I used to go to loads when i was younger, definitely need to go again xXx

    The butterfly house at Bristol Zoo is one of my favourite things – it’s so nice to see butterflies up close like this and your photos definitely do them justice :)

  9. if you’re ever in the United States, you should check out the Long Island Aquarium and Exhibition Center! they have a lovely butterfly and tropical bird exhibit that is to die for!
