Sunday Morning

Nothing quite beats a stroll through the woods on a crisp and sunny Sunday morning. I like to think of this as my ‘old lady at the car boot’ look, which is exactly where we were prior to taking these photos. Unfortunately the car boot was a bit of a bust (unless you count buying the board game ‘David Dickinson’s Antique Chase’ as a success, which for the record, I do). It was such a beautiful morning though, so I’m glad I was up and about to enjoy it.

P.S. If you are stupid enough to walk around the woods in heels, this (⇧) will inevitably happen. And if you’re lucky, your dear, sweet boyfriend will be on hand to affectionately capture the moment, just as mine was.

  1. Darling boyfriends, always there to capture the best times! Luckily I never wear heels (purely because I’m crap in them) but I am wearing an identical skirt to yours right now which makes me happy.

  2. What a lovely post! I absolutely love that skirt! Pleats have to be one of my favorite texture details. And you are brave for walking through the woods in heels. I can barely walk in them on the pavement. haha So glad you are posting again! I greatly missed your wonderful posts!

Also, just wanted to let you know I linked your blog from mine. I hope that is alright. :)

  3. I would have to say that walking in the woods is a perfect way to spend a Sunday.
(And thanks for letting me know what kind of yarn you were using. I haven’t had a chance to use Big Wool yet, but I’ll be keeping an eye out for it now.)

  4. Such a classic! Thanks for the great reply :) Incredible photos for sure. Wish there were nice woods around where I live too.

  5. haha . . . I’ll make sure to make a mental note not to wear heels next time I go into the woods :)
Gorgeous photos though and lovely outfit! Love the skirt!

  6. Everything about this is incredible. Love the coat (who couldn’t love a Burberry trench?), the plissé skirt, and of course, those Topshop boots that I’ve been stalking online for ages now. Love the scenery as well! Hope you didn’t scrape your knees up too badly in the tumble! Shame on your bf for capturing it :p (mine would have done the same, of course)

  7. yay you’re back!
