Botanical Gardens

Dress, bag, shoes and sunglasses – vintage/thrifted

A couple of snaps from our very brief visit to the Botanical Gardens yesterday. We spent the earlier part of the day visiting the National Museum of Scotland and St Giles Cathedral and didn’t arrive at the gardens until 5, which only gave us 45 minutes to wander round because it closed at 5.45 (way too early a closing time for this time of year, I think!). Considering that my time in Edinburgh is almost up, I’ve been trying to fit in as many touristy things as possible lately. I’ve been snapping pictures all the while, so hopefully I’ll have some sort of ‘rough guide to Edinburgh’ to share with you at the end of it.

  1. Botanical gardens are my thing, the biologist in me cries from the happiness of all these green all around! =) I am going to Edinburgh probably in the winter so yes please!

  2. I love the Botanics – the rock garden was always my favourite during summer. I have never been able to understand why they close so early though, especially now they have the restaurant in there as well. I’ve been meaning to go again for ages but because they don’t allow dogs I never bother – seems mean to go for a nice walk and not to take the puppies xo

  3. love the way you cherish nature, hannah. we have to take care of earth. i want to have backyard just like that botanical garden, uh can i? haha :D

  4. great bag! Enjoy the rest of your time in Edinburgh : )

p.s after reading your blog for a while, I totally want to go to a botanical garden so much!

  5. I think I’ve said it before but I love your backpack!
I’m really looking forward to your Edinburgh guide. I would love to go there someday. I understand the feeling of leaving a city after a long time. I lived in Midhurst, West Sussex for a year, ten years ago (Aaaah, it’s been so long already!) and it has a special place in my heart. Love to look through photos and can’t wait to go back one day.
