My favourite details from Baddesley Clinton. Apparently this place is magical at Christmas, when the fire is constantly lit and visitors are invited to stay and relax in the glow of a Christmas tree. The National Trust often has a very precious approach towards the furniture in its houses (with good reason), but at Baddesley Clinton, the atmosphere is a lot more relaxed; you can walk on the carpet or sit on the sofa and nobody bats an eyelid. Plus it has a moat. And a history of murder. What more could you want?
INCREDIBLE!
So, so beautiful!
it’s beautiful.
Oh it’s so gorgeous!
Really stunning photos! I always feel so nervous photographing historic places like this as the attendants are a little overzealous…the last historic place I visited I had an attendant looking over my shoulder ever single time I took a photo =O
wow how beautiful! lemme sleep in that gorgeous bed!
I wish I lived in a country with such a rich history so I could visit places like these.
Oh I love it! What a beautiful house. I love visiting National Trust properties, especially in the summer for their beautiful gardens.
You visit the most beautiful places! I wish that I could go with you <3
I wish there were more houses like that around my area!
Sounds like something from a (albeit grisly) fairytale <3

So cool!
I’m going to go sometime this week. I have a serious craving for a lovely four poster bed like that. Murder? Most intriguing.
this is fantastic!
Very intriguing! The place is wonderful.
Beautiful, somewhere to add to my evergrowing list of places to visit.
It looks as beautiful as I thought it would be. That’s really nice that they are a bit more relaxed, no Thistle’s on the chairs then I guess. :-) You must go back at Christmas and take some cozy pictures. xx
Ahh love your posts so much! This place looks and sounds amazing.
Such a beautiful house!
It looks like a gorgeous place! I have been visiting a lot of old English houses recently and been blogging about them too.

Fabulous interior shots, I must add to my list of places to visit.. If you are ever in the Oxford area visiting historic buildings and gardens do give me a shout! :)
These photos are delish! I am wondering how you captured the front of the house in that way. Did you also hire a helicopter for the day and took it from that!?
Looks like my kinda place! *adds to list*
This place looks and sounds absolutely perfect!

Thank you for these little bits of life – I am actually writing a (completely fictional) story, and Baddesly Clinton is the inspiration for my setting. Little touches, such as a quilt or a closeup of a tapestry bring the place closer…
