Yesterday’s weather looked pleasant enough from inside, but once outside it became immediately clear that taking photos was going to be a challenge. We had to battle turbulent winds, fast-fading light and to top it all off, it seemed that last night everyone was out to photograph what I thought was a pretty standard sunset, making it somewhat difficult to find a secluded spot for ourselves. In the end, these were the only shots I deemed salvageable.
The lovely tie I’m wearing was kindly sent to me by Christine of Flapper Girl. I love having unusual accessories to play around with and this red tie makes what would have been a pretty boring outfit into, I hope, something a lot more blog-worthy. I nearly Photoshopped a badly drawn Tardis into the background because I can’t help but think that my outfit is vaguely Doctor Who-ish, but then I remembered that I’m far too serious for that.
Gorgeous combination, I love your styling, such a classic look. It reminds me a little of Doctor Who too haha :P
You do look a bit like Matt Smith’s Doctor, but I think that’s what makes your outfit so wonderful :] You look lovely!
The tie definitely gives the outfit something extra. It’s cute! You so should have photoshopped in a TARDIS.
Matt Smith would be proud ;)
Absolutely lovely!
Have a great week!
I love the jacket, and yes the little tie really pulls the outfit together :) It does remind me a little of Matt Smith! xx
effortlessly stylish as always. love it ;)

I’m so sad that pin is vintage; it’s so perfect. And I used to wear one of those tie in the little school days – love seeing it used in fashion :)
I love these photos! The colour toning and everything… and you’re right – an interesting detail changes everything ;)
I love everything about this x
Love the brooch!
This is just a gorgeous outfit, perfect in every way!
You are the vintage queen – why do I never find anything half this good? That satchel is completely divine.
it is very who-esque! are the crocs those ballet flats? they’re not too bad. actually, i was window shopping a few days ago and found a kinda-cute pair of cork wedges, and i was SHOCKED to find out they were crocs!
Haha love the Doctor Who reference, 11 would definitely be proud of this outfit ;)
Totally in love with your bag though, looks amazing with the tweed and I love the whole English heritage feel of the whole outfit xoxo
this is one of my favorite outfits of yours. that brooch is phenom… how much you want for it?? ;)
You are so gorgeous and this outfit is so incredibly lovely! Thank you so much for your <3 and support!
xoxo

love the bag. love.
the brooch is also awesome.
a very good example of tomboy chic right here. im just jealous it’s already cool enough for you to wear a blazer. it’s still quite balmy here in New England.
Gorgeous pictures, I love the jacket. The bit about the crocs made me laugh! :p x
Oh, I just love your bag!! :)
I love your leather bag! ….surely not crocs! :)
Fun outfit. It is my dream to stumble upon a vintage satchel like this one day. Not likely to happen in cattle and oil country, but I still dream.
I love this classy yet casual outfit, that blazer is amazing. I need to get myself a little lady tie, I have loved all the ones I’ve seen from Flapper Girl. I absolutely hate it when I spend the time taking a bunch of shots for a post, and only a few are usable out of so many! At least you got a few really nice ones though!
Hope you are having a beautiful day!
xo Hannah
I love the brooch and bag! Love your style. :)
Nice look! Glad you survived the wind! I love your red tie and your “purse” as well !
It makes a feminine/masculine look. Great !
All the best,
Anne
Love Dr. Who. :) Love your blog as well!
I love your jacket and the little stag brooch in particular, it’s gorgeous!

WOW, I love the collar! And the jacket, this outfit is absolutely amazing. I’m inspired.
you’re incredible xx
Absolutely love this look! That blazer is fantastic. And it IS a rather Doctor-ish outfit. A tardis in the background would not have been amiss! :)
I love your blazer and bag!

i can’t believe how fall it looks where you are, it’s still pretty much summer where i am. but you look so cute i’m almost longing for chilly weather and fall layers <3
