National Trust Collections

As much as I love taking you all on virtual tours of the National Trust properties we visit, there’s only so much I can show you. That’s why I was delighted to discover (in my latest National Trust bulletin… yes, really) that the National Trust has recently started cataloguing their hundreds of thousands of historic objects online. As of writing this post, there are currently over 750,000 entries available for viewing. That’s a whole lot of antiques to drool over.

If you decide to take a peek, share your favourites in the comments!

  1. I volunteer at a National Trust property and this (www.nationaltrustcollections.org.uk/object/597990) is one of my favourite paintings in the house. Her expression is so engaging but intriguing. They also have an amazing collection of samplers – unfortunately the pictures don’t do them justice. If you are ever in Somerset/Dorset let me know and I will take you on a tour! I love the National Trust and it is lovely to find a fellow fan.

I also really like the design of your blog, I am a new blogger trying to set it up with a theme that I like. What theme are you using?

  3. Oh my goodness. This is awesome! I love all the old paintings and cameras. :) Thanks for giving me something else to distract myself with while I’m supposed to be doing homework. haha
