Jumper and bag – thrifted
Shorts – Zara
Shoes – Topshop

Today’s outfit: worn for traipsing around the shops in search of a fancy dress for a wedding I’ll be attending next week. I eventually found one in French Connection and I’m quite smitten with it. I’ll share it here soon. The weather was beautiful today and it was warm enough to leave the flat without tights on, which was a small miracle after all the rain we’ve had lately.

I’ve recently signed up with rewardStyle, so just to give you full disclosure, if you click any ‘similar here’ links, I’ll earn commission on any of the items that you buy. The links will either take you to the exact item that I’m wearing, or to items that I think are similar in style and, wherever possible, price. I probably won’t post these links for items that I’ve thrifted, because that seems kind of silly and I’d much rather advocate that you go out and thrift your own version or hunt one down on eBay/Etsy. Do you guys have any opinions on this? Please do say if you think it’s a good/bad idea!

  1. Hey Hannah! I have used rewardstyle a little bit and so far it hasn’t been worth the effort of finding items to link to, unfortunately. Give it a shot, though! Just pay attention to how much time you’re spending browsing the site looking for items, and if you end up getting the commission (after the 120 days or whatever it is of waiting, hoping that the buyer doesn’t return their purchase), ask yourself if it was worth it. Your time is valuable!

    1. Thanks Anja! Yeah, I’m on a bit of a trial run with it at the moment. It didn’t take too long to find the things I was looking for, but they were pretty straightforward and simple things and I can imagine it would take longer if I was looking for something more specific. We’ll see I suppose!

  2. I think you should do whatever you want in terms of advertising and income streams. I think that posting items similar to what you’ve thrifted would be cool. Some people don’t like to thrift, and some people might really be inspired by your look and want to try it out. You and I are at least 7 sizes apart from each other, so it’s highly unlikely I’d be able to recreate any of your thrifted looks, but the sight to which you’re linking might carry that item in my larger size.

  3. Great to see you back blogging :) I’ve no issue with the rewardStyle links…especially since you’re so open about it. I absolutely love your bag (and whole outfit) here..been on the hunt for something exactly like this for ages.
