Hatton Vintage Fair

Just a few detail shots from the vintage fair that I mentioned in my last post. It was quite a small affair but I really enjoyed it. A few people asked me if I blogged when they saw my camera and I discovered that quite a lot of the vendors themselves were online. We vintage-lovers sure love our blogs.

I ended up coming home with this incredible suede skirt (which is in need of a good clean) and a pair of kitchy 1970s sunglasses that remind me ever so slightly of some of the Prada styles that have been around lately with their huge frames and wavy arms. Had funds allowed, I could have bought a lot more!

  2. Hannah your pictures are always so lovely and inspiring. Great finds! I hope you don’t mind, I used some of your pictures for an inspiration post for my next visual merchandising theme at work. I have linked you and spread the Foxtail and Fern love. xx

  3. AMAZING! There are never Vintage fairs like that around my town… shame. :/
Oh, well. I suppose I must live vicariously through other bloggers/vintage addicts. :)

P.S. Enter my giveaway, if you’d like. :)

  4. The scalloped skirt looks gorgeous, absolutely love the colour and the buttons – it’s just a shame it looks a little stained (although I hope it’ll look better after a good wash!). It’s not unlike things that have been cropping up in Topshop, so well done on finding it! The vintage fair looked great… all that crockery and vintage photography looked a treat. Model the skirt in the next post? xxx

  5. Absolutely ADORE the scalloped edge suede skirt. I absolutely love suede skirts and yours is particularly yum. Hope you’re enjoying post-uni freedom xx

  8. I could spend all day wandering through antique fairs. I am such a sucker for old dresses and books (especially children’s books). All of the lovely items in your pictures look like little goodies I could want to take home! xx

  9. Haha I am not surprised at all that vintage-lovers are also bloggers. The fair looks pretty awesome and I am really digging the scalloped edge of the suede skirt.

  10. Hi!

My header is actually a photograph I took from Ernest Hemingway’s home in Havana, Cuba. He and his wife Mary had amazing taste. I’m totally drawn to the aesthetic of his place though. Taxidermied animal heads, an enviable book and record collection, animal parts in jars, and a Picasso.

love your photographs by the way, I definitely plan on coming back to your blog!

  11. I love the first photo of the old photographs – seeing things like that at vintage fairs always makes me a little sad. Is that what my photographs are destined for?

I would love to get my hands on that box of vintage photos also I’m feeling kind of sad for selling a similar suede skirt i found last year. It wasn’t quite as good as that lovely number though.

  18. Hi Hannah,
You bought the sunglasses from me! I love your photographs of the fair at Hatton & subsequent stroll in the ‘country’…was certainly a beautiful day for it. I have a few questions for you & have tried to contact you through the hello link but for some reason it’s just not happening. Could you email me at angelawendydarling@gmail.com & we’ll have a chat.
