I don’t know about you, but when I think of a holiday by the sea I think of sunshine, sandy beaches and ice cream. Unfortunately for us, St Ives had other ideas and we had to battle against two days of sheet rain before the mist finally retreated and allowed summer to continue its reign. Still, at least I had the foresight to pack my raincoat. The dress I’m wearing is from Dorothy Perkins. I haven’t been into a Dorothy Perkins store in years, but I caught sight of this dress while I was innocently loitering around the entrance to Outfit (to my non-British readers: this is a chain that carries, amongst other brands, Dorothy Perkins and Topshop) and before I knew what was happening I was at the till and handing over my debit card. I don’t think buying it was a mistake, but at least if it was, it was a fairly cheap one.

  1. Lovely! The polka dots combined with the yellow of the raincoat makes for such a cute look. Too bad you needed that raincoat at all, though ;-)

  2. This yellow rain coat could not be more cheerful! How lovely!! I also really like your shoes; I wish I had legs like yours for them because they are really different to the things I would usually like, but I’m drawn to them on you!
