I think I might have just… lost a bit of my ability to speak just now. Wow. That shot of the blue room with the taxidermy is just unbelievable. (and so are all the others and the place in general) Thank you for sharing!
i love every single one of these photos! i sure do miss visiting places like this. it’s so nice to see really old homes and the bits and pieces that reside within them.
I love beautiful old homes, and this one is as good as it gets! Beautiful patterned wallpaper gets me every time, and I love the photo of the numbered seashells. Looking at these photos make me feel like I should snap pictures when I’m at estate sales. While none of the houses are quite as incredible as this one, they’re certainly inspiring in their own right.
Is it weird that I want to live there because of the way it is decorated? I always told myself if ever I won the lotto or had enough money I’d make a “period room” and decorate it from some past time period and then name it the Jane Austen Room or something weird like the White House does.
Last time you posted about this my heart skipped a bit and now it just skipped a few more. I literally can not wait to visit this, it’s literally what my dreams are made of. xx
For some reason, this manor reminds me of Brideshead Revisited! The photos are fascinating, the whole place looks wonderfully eerie.
this is absolutely stunning!

I want to visit so badly. I’m obsessed with the bedroom full of taxidermy. Really lovely photos!

absolutely glorious-thanks for sharing! xx
I spy a couple of snuff boxes. Whoever lived here must have been friends with Lord Grantham!
Such beautiful photographs! They all have their own mysterious and magical feel about them. It must have been so wonderful to explore this place.
Stunning! Just stunning.

This looks wonderful, like a long-forgotten tale. Saved it in my bookmarks – hopefully, one day, I will visit England again.
You have just cemented this as my next place to visit!

I’m always drawn to big old homes and I’ve never been inside homes like this my whole life. I’m dying of curiosity to get a glimpse.
